Green wall systems - Green solutions on stainless steel cables

Green façade are an optical highlight. Simultaneously they are an expression of responsible interaction with the environment.

The functions of a green wall system are diverse:

  • Heat insulation: if an evergreen plant is selected as a climbing plant, the façade has vegetation in the wintertime as insulation.
  • Protection: The vegetation reduces noise pollution and acts as sound-proofing. It is furthermore an effective protection against UV radiation, hail, strong temperature variations, pollutants and dirt.
  • Shading and cooling: In summer the vegetation protects the façade from intensive solar radiation and also has an agreeable cooling effect.
  • Aesthetics: The vegetation optically enhances the building and transforms an otherwise inconspicuous façade into an aesthetic design.

The greenery and climbing aids of Carl Stahl are harmonised to the various requirements of a façade. Open surfaces can be spanned with finer version of the product X-TEND mesh. Steep and sloping building walls become a pleasurable green sight to the eyes with the product I-SYS.

Green walls with I-SYS:
The I-SYS climbing system is particularly suitable for greenery which should be adapted to the building structure. Cut-outs for windows can be taken into account by the arrangement of the climbing aids. The cable course follows the façade geometry. The I-SYS climbing system is especially suitable for winding and climbing plants. Another positive aspect of I-SYS: if the cables on the lowest wall bracket are fastened only hand-tight and provided with a protrusion, they can "grow along" with the development of the plant.

Green walls with X-TEND:
The advantage of vegetation with the stainless steel net X-TEND mesh lies in the three-dimensional plasticity of the netting. This makes it possible for larger areas to be spanned for a perfect fit. Incorporated as a prestressed element, X-TEND mesh can even become a supporting surface structure. The advantage here lies in a construction with reduced material which achieves remarkable lightness and transparency. The X-TEND climbing system is suitable for leaf stem and shoot climbing plants. For large-surface vegetation with smaller grid spacing it is especially the most economic solution.

Green walls with GREENCABLE:
Rapid and simple assembly for smaller vegetation surfaces are a characteristic of this system. The 4 mm cables are only clamped in the wall bracket and thus permit an individual and cost-effective construction on location.
